Dear Cub Corner,
We are writing to tell you of how the Lord cares about what is important to us. Our 5 year old golden retriever, "Scout" has jumped over our back wall a few times and she simply waits in the front yard for us to return home. This has always been the case except for two times when we thought that she may be gone forever.
The first time was last June, 2014 on my 11th birthday. My brother, my mom and I were really upset but before we went out to look for our dog we decided to kneel and pray together for her safe return. We also called my dad at work and other fellow believers and asked them to pray. I wanted to stay home all day and wait for my dog to return, but my family had planned a pizza party that evening at a trampoline park. This seemed to be the longest day of my life. I didn't really enjoy my birthday party because I was worried sick about our dog. I tried to have faith, and thought she may be home waiting for us. That evening at around 7:00 p.m. when we were pulling the car into our driveway Scout was there waiting for us!
The second time was in February, 2015 when we were out of town for a long weekend. While we were gone Scout stayed at the dog sitter's house which is about five miles north of our home. On Saturday night Scout jumped over their wall. The sitter and their family looked for several hours until it was too dark. We returned home very upset and sad about our dog. That week we looked all over for her. We prayed as a family and asked other believers to pray. We knew how much Brother Branham loved his dog, Fritz, and we felt the same way about Scout. We reported him as a lost dog and placed "missing dog" posters with Scout's picture. We wondered if we'd see Scout again but tried to believe by faith that she'd return home. On Monday, March 9th at 5 a.m. my parents heard something whining at our front door. It was Scout!! She was on her own for eight days! It had rained several times but God had his eye on her! She was stressed, tired and had lost weight, but thankfully she was not harmed with only a few stickers on her. We thank the Lord for loving us so much.
**What we learned:
- Continue to have FAITH even when the situation seems impossible!
- Sincere prayer on our knees as a family and the prayers of believers made all of the difference!
- If it's important to you it's important to God.
- Look for a hunting GPS collar for Scout!
