Mary

The Angel Gabriel came to Mary and told her that she would have a Son, and that she should call His Name, Jesus!

Mary married a really good man named Joseph.

Mary was there for many of Jesus’s miracles, including the time when Jesus turned the water into wine.

Mary was cousins with Elisabeth, John the Baptist’s mom.

When Mary went to visit her cousin Elisabeth, she stayed there for about 3 months.

In The Bible:

Luke 1:30-31 (30) And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. (31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

Brother Branham Said:

And there was a little old girl living down in Nazareth, the meanest city in the country, pretty near as bad as Chicago, excuse me. Anyhow, bad as Jeffersonville where I live… Oh, very bad, wicked city, but no matter how bad the city is you can still live right in the Presence of God. And God's searching out true heart like He did then.

And He found this little old peasant girl. Let's think it was on Monday morning; that's the wash day. A pitcher of water setting on her head and one on each hip and here she comes a walking. And she's coming back from the well, and she's fixing to get married to a man. She's just a young lady, and the first thing you know a Light shines in front of her; and standing in this Light stands Gabriel, the great Archangel; He said, "Hail, Mary!" 53-0906A

Mary

Not all that far from where Zacharias and Elisabeth lived was a little town in Galilee called Nazareth. It was just a small town where not very many important things usually happened, but that was about to change.

You see, there was a young girl named Mary that lived in Nazareth. Mary was a really sweet girl who was planning to marry a good man named Joseph. Both Mary and Joseph loved God and served Him the best they could. They knew that God loved them back, and had blessed them, but they didn't yet know just how blessed they really were.

One very special morning, something happened to young Mary. She was on her way to the city well in Nazareth, when suddenly a great Light flashed and an Angel appeared.

"Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." It was the Angel Gabriel, and he was speaking to Mary!

She was really scared, and wondered what the Angel's Words meant.

"Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son and shalt call His name JESUS."

Wow! The Angel was telling Mary that she was going to have a Son! The same Angel who came to Zacharias had come to Mary to deliver the great news!

The Angel kept talking to Mary and told her all about the Boy that she would have. He also told her that her cousin Elisabeth was going to have a son, too!

Mary had to go see her right away!

Mary got to Elisabeth's house and began to tell her all about how the Angel had visited her. Elisabeth was amazed. Something supernatural was definitely happening, but Elisabeth still had a secret. Way deep down inside she knew that her son had not moved yet, and she was afraid that he was dead.

Then everything changed. Mary told Elisabeth that the Angel told her to name her Son, "Jesus!" Just then, little baby John sprang to life! It was wonderful! Little John was alive and filled with the Holy Spirit while he was still in his mommy's tummy!
